The Summertime Ball is a mini-festival that is held in June by Global Radio "British commercial radio company". A portion of ticket
sales profit is donated to ‘Help a London Child’, the Capital London charity,
now it is known as ‘Help a Capital Child’. The Summertime Ball Festival was
held at Emirates Stadium. The second festival was held at Wembley Stadium and
it was promoted and broadcasted by Capital London. Summertime Ball 2012 is
going to be held again at Wembley Stadium for the third year and will be
promoted and broadcasted across the Capital network.
Summertime Ball 2011
The Summertime Ball 2011 was sponsored by Starbucks and
held on Sunday 12 June at Wembley Stadium in London. Tickets for the event sold
out on 3 June 2011. However, in the weeks running up to the Summertime Ball,
Capital held on-air competitions to allow listeners to win tickets to the
event.
Summertime Ball 2012
The 2012 Capital FM Summertime Ball festival will be
sponsored by Vodafone and will take place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 9th
